Jupiter 17th Aug.

It's been hard to 'stay on call' each & every night these last few months, but I copped a bit of a break this morning. The jet was still highly active in these (high frequency jitter & blur) but the low & mid levels were playing nicely together.

Cheers.

What a great result there Asi, some really nice detail for sure, the contribution of the high frequency blur from the Jet is the only thing that stops these images from really popping.

Top Effort

Very good shots John, considering the conditions.

I know what you mean when you say it is hard to stay on call each and every night, but all will be forgiven when you finally nail some excellent seeing.

Lovely work John.
I actually slotted the webcam into the new scope the other night.
Then quickly took it out again. Never seen seeing so bad before. It was like looking at Jup through rippling water.
Glad to have your images to admire!

Thanks all. It's been a nasty few months for seeing in QLD & AU in general, but I think we'll see some good seeing soon. According to the maps, the jetstream is breaking up, so one must remain vigilant.

JJJ I see that all the time, & it's getting old

Here's a quick animation. I didn't have an animation in mind at the time, so it's not the best.
