Ngc 6888 Cresent Neb in Ha

This is 3 hours of Ha on the Cresent neb. I hadn't realised how much dust surrounded the Nebula. The image ended up a little noisy, not sure if I missed something in the processing or if it's due to it's low angle in the northern sky.

20 x 10min subs in Ha with the Moravian G2-8300 and W.O FLT 110 and reducer.

Comments and suggestions welcome

Beautiful image Geoff. I'm going to have a crack at the one I took at astrofest to see how the Ha goes by itself. My coloured one is a little dodgy. Well done.

Thanks Guys, I even surprised myself with this one.

I might try for some colour data next new moon night and try some LRGB + HA blending...that might be fun

Wow, that's amazing Geoff. I didn't know it could even be imaged from Oz.

It doesn't look noisy from that size image.

A beauty.

Are you going to shoot colour?

If you have an O111 filter this one looks great in bicolour -Ha/O111.

Greg.

Thanks Greg, appreciate your feedback.

I only have RGB filters ATM, however I do have 1hour of each RGB captured at Astrofest. I hope to grab some more data at a dark site on the next new moon. Being low I want to give the image as much data as possible. Then I'll try out some HaRGB blending, that should be fun

Cheers

Sounds good. If you need a hand with the HaRGB blend just yell out.

Greg.

Lovely work Geoff. I'd imagine this would be quite low so I'm amazed at how well you've captured the scene. A very tidy image. Would be great to see colour added. You sure have plenty of Ha data to progress with. Looking forward to seeing more.

Well done mate! I wouldn't have thought it possible from home, but you've proven it is worth having a crack at.
