I noticed it's not attached to the ISS by anything. Any estimated time for re-entry?

the way i understand it:
"the solar section photography section is for posting your own images of the solar system, not someone else that has been taken by hubble etc."
what ving did wrong here was: - to let his private secretary take the photo of him posing in a black g-string space suit floating just to the bottom right of "ivan" and of course he blended into the background.
- he could not have taken the shot himself.
- he faced his g-string to the sun and got his ass sun burnt!

Couple of places ving. It could go in General Chat (though it's not really general chat because it's astronomy based), Astonomy Science (but that forum was initiated for serious astronomical discussions not for posting inews items from other internet sources) or into News Items Comments (though that was meant for commenting on news items Mike posted at the front of the website).
We (the mods) have been talking about this very issue and trying to work out a best fit solution, so keep your ear open and maybe petition the adminitration in the Website Feedback forum for a specific forum for these news items.

lol, great thread guys, had me in stitches...
They actually put a radio transmitter in the lil-guy - transmitting in FM, both voice and video (although I am not entirely sure about the later)...batteries lasted only a couple of days but apparently many ham ops around the world received the signal...sorry about being vague on the details, but there are some cool websites around with more info.
Hope they do it again soon - what a hoot for kiddies around the world to tune into something being transmitted from space, ala Sputnik...

Actually ving your questions raises an important point to consider. I offered a number of solutions above but part of the problem is deciding which one to put it in.
For your thread it was fairly easy to determine which way the discussion was likely to head due to your opening comments about the image. This had all the hall marks of a humourous thread (yep you're a funny guy? ving ) so moved to General Chat. Had the opening lines been about what parameters were being measured and how this might affect future space suit design, the thread would belong in Astronomy Science. If it was a discussion of life on the ISS and what they were doing up there it might have been more suited to the News forum. Does that sorta help? My head hurts.
Sorry to break out in a rash of seriousness and spoil the humour of the thread.
Delete if you find it offensive.
