A bit of a progress report on the mods being done on my obs in anticipation of the arrival of the PMX in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
I've included an early shot of the original design with the roof fully extended on it's rails. The "after" shot shows how the end walls have now become fixed and the warm room now serves as a wall on the southern exposure. The north side will have folding walls. I've also included a shot of the inside - obviously incomplete but getting there.

Looks like you have made quite a bit of progress. It's all coming together now It might be "standing room only" in the warm room if the temp drops on the imaging field
Happy to bring up a roller and paintbrush for the next new moon night. We should be able to slap on some paint Sunday morning before we leave for home (weather permitting)
... but how do you stop the warm arm affecting seeing near the scopes?
Mate, I am not worried about he "warm arm" you mentioned - as long as it is attached to the rest of me and as long as it is held steady by having a glass of red at the working end.
If, on the other hand, you meat warm "air", be assured that no warm air will be released indoors.

Oops
Any other warm arms in the warm room might also risk wrath of wife.....
Well, I'm nearly finished. External walls on the hotroom complete, windows and air-con installed, door tomorrow. The main end and side wall of the obs proper are finished.
There'll definitely be a wall or two ready for anyone with a roller or brush come next New Moon.

Yep. All structural work is complete. Some D-mould and Quad trims to go in and then some paint but the structure is done and the electrics installed.
As you'll see from the shots inside the scope room itself, there is an empty pier waiting for a PMX - for which I received a UPS tracking number this morning. SO it's on its way.
Peter.
