RC Astrographs - Any good for Visual

I've been readin a lot of threads about the RC telescopes, like the DSO RC-8" f/8 C.F. astrograph.

It has been interesting reading, and the verdict seems to be that the newer models with the better focusers are excellent value for money for an imaging scope, with a Carbon Fibre 8" model selling for under a grand.

What I haven't read much about though, is how are they for visual use?
On paper it would appear that it would be better than say a C8 SCT, but as the RC is designed for imaging, what exacltly does that mean for visual?
Are there drawbacks to the design for visual use?

I also haven't been able to find much in the way of planetary images taken with RC scopes, is there a reason they aren't suitable for planetary, or have I just been looking in the wrong places?
