Laptop power cable not working.

Hello.

My Toshiba Teacra A9 laptop came with the usual looking power cable with rectangle box thing and a smaller cable then going into laptop.

Have some issues with it working,basically-there appears to be 'wear' where the smaller cable goes into rectangle box.It sort of works, but when I plugged in before it did not work, and rectangle box made small 'squeking' noise, like a cricket,on and off.

Where do I buy a new one?? any ideas for links or would DS sell these? It appears to be working now,but certainly seems its on the way out after 4 years.

Thanks for any help.-Cheers Chris

Marc if it is double pins on the box, just spread them a whisker, which will give a firmer grip on the contacts.

Here's a quick link to some of the Jaycar offerings.
Just choose one with the appropriate wattage.

I got a really good one from Harvey Norman. It came with a 12 v plug as well as 240v. No need for an inverter when you in the field. even has another USB port on it so you can charge a USB device with out having to have it plugged into a a pc

It's a belkin from memory.
