Our baby has arrived

It's here . Arrived this morning around 7.00 and it is huge. I couldn't get over the size of it . My baby 130EQ looks like an ant compared to this giant, 10" dob. Don't think I'll be able to sling this one over my shoulder and carry out to the grass, thinking I'm going to need a forklift to move it . Steven's eagerly awaiting to get home and have a play with it, hopefully sky is nice and clear for us tonight and then I'll have to hang around and wait for Jupiter to arrive. Thanks to you all for your advice in leading us to this baby

Congratulations on the new arrival.
You're going to love the views.
Good luck with first light too.
LOL careful when you go to look at the moon through that baby. You'll be seeing white spots for ages after. Do you have a moon filter?

Yeh a moon filter came with it. We held it up to the light in the kitchen and we were amazed at the difference so can only imagine what the moons going to look like. So excited, but I'm sure you all know the feeling

Thanks all. Got a few minutes looking at the moon earlier before sunset, then the clouds come over . It had so much more detail. Got a quick glimpse at Saturn just then. We saw 2moons with the big boy using only the 15mm before the cloud came back again. Looks like they are here to stay. So fingers crossed clear skies tomorrow but I've heard a rumour there is rain on the way. Ah well we need the rain more then I need to look at the stars.

Cheers Darrin,
Didn't arrange a baby shower as we thought it's a bit far for some of you all to travel but you's can send gifts if you feel the need

Congratulations Tammy. Great scope and good to have even a brief first light. Looking forward to more reports of your adventures with it.
