My tribute to the last shuttle mission - STS-135 "Atlantis".
Original raw video footage courtesy NASA/JPL, edited to this final form to match the timing of my original synthesizer music, titled "Kosmic Kat".

German synthesizer pioneers Klaus Schulze and Peter Namlook were my main inspiration - a big thanks to my mate Humayun for re-introducing their work "Dark Side of the Moog" to me recently.
Sequenced by a Doepfer Dark Time analog sequencer, driving 11 tracks into Logic 9 Express on a Mac Mini with Waldorf's PPG Wave 3.v Audio Unit performing most of the wave table synthesis. Based on that, I've got to look at getting a Waldorf Blofeld soon...
I can't watch that launch sequence without getting tears in my eyes Chris. Such and emotional moment.
I agree with H, your music works so well with the footage.
Nettie - The video came first, and then I laid down the tracks to suit in (almost) real time - although it did take some fiddling, it worked out pretty well. I'm pleased with the result.
I'm doing a tribute to the Apollo program next - and hopefully the musical track will be in excess of 50 minutes - in two parts. I love themed music that takes time to evolve. I was just talking to Humayun this afternoon - we both think that any song that winds up at the five minute mark is wayyy too short! Bring back the Pink Floydesque opus I say!
Here is this one in production... each one of the tiny vertical stripes on the page is 1 x 4:4 bar!
I so love your work! Up to your usual standards, as always.:thumbsu p:
Very emotional and stirring for me.
I had something like this in mind too a week or so back but I'm
glad I didn't.....mine would have been soooooo C grade!
