Galactic Interactions

After AAIC I was able to get the RGB for this interesting but small galaxy. It shows strong evidence of merger streams with an amazing spike and small loops. Also take a close look at the smaller distorted galaxy to the right of NGC6239.

Click to zoom and pan into this amazing galaxy that reminds me of the famous tadpole galaxy.

Thanks for taking the time to look,

Kindest Regards,

Holy WOW, thats an amazing image Ken, thats a 12th mag galaxy and the streams are magnificent. Those smaller galaxies are so clear and little elongations even more distant galaxies. Soo cool.

Amazing, Ken - some much motion in this shot! It's like a still frame from a sports event; your brain just can't help itself but to predict the next few frames. Just brilliant.

Thanks guys for the kind, encouraging words! I do spend time with digging out the details even on the smaller galaxies so thanks for noticing

Beautifully done Ken.
A very interesting tiny northern galaxy. Love these interacting galaxy images.
Even with galaxy images you collect dust!
I like the vibrant colours you bring to an image with the rich dark backgrounds, gives good depth.

Always enjoy your images.

Keep them coming please.

Rich

Fantastic Ken.

I started counting the tiny galaxies in the background (it's a habit of mine). I was up to 350 when I gave up! Just too many. And I hadn't even reached halfway through the image!!!

Truly stunning work

Fantastic image of some very interesting galaxies. You've even got some HII areas in the brightest one .
Interacting galaxies are an old favourite of mine, I once created a program that could model galaxy interactions with millions of particles, that was great fun. Thanks for the view.
