The Best Computer in the World

This is a press release in 1954 by The Rand Corporation, and their idea of what a personal computer would look like in 50 years time ( 2004 ) They said that alot of the perceived functions for the computer would need technology that still had not been invented.
Check out the wheel, maybe it's used to navigate the internet

You mean you really don't know what the wheel is for? It's the precurser of the trackball, which let to the mouse which led to the touchpost (Ahhh the old thinkpads. Worse thing ever was getting rid of the touchpost) which led to these &*%^&()%$#@$^%*&?><~~~ touchpads. Curse that wheel.

It's a hoax, http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/hoaxes/computer.asp

It's actually a picture of " A full-scale display of a typical nuclear-powered submarine's maneuvering room in which the ship's engineers control the power plant and electrical and steam systems".
