Just a quick note to say cheers ladies and gentlemen - this site and group have been great for me!
I'm going in for a major operation this Wednesday - jaw reconstruction (to remove an exquisitely rare malignancy they found on my left jaw - where the molars used to sit. It's a 12 - 14 hour operation, so from this wed for the next 14 days I'll be in Westmead hospital. After that its a 4-6 week recovery (longer if radiotherapy or chemo is needed). They graft bone form a fib in one of my legs and reattach an artery and vein and remove the lymph nodes.
So far it appears no nasties have gotten into the lymph nodes or my chest - which is a major relief!
I look forward top comming back and getting immersed in astronomy again once I've healed.
Anyway, cheers for now - looking forward to coming back with a vengance!
