Hey, thanks very much for the kind words, Liz, Warren, Ric and PGC. Slept in for once, after staying up for the shuttle launch. Spent all day in the garden watching that first quarter moon rise over absolutely perfect Winter skies. Having a quiet evening with family then might head out after moonset to try some more widefield tripod shots. I received a beautiful 1500 piece Ravensburger jigsaw puzzle representing two globes of the night sky http://www.peedeetoys.com.au/Ravensb...mta-634266.htm
Where did the last 42 years go?

Cheers
Stephen

Perfect for those cloudy nights.

Ric, Ravensburger are the BMW's of jigsaws. Absolute precision cut pieces. Yep my dear wife had a hard time sourcing this star map one because most of their jigsaws have limited runs. They also have an "Astrology" jigsaw so I had to be very specific, otherwise it could have ended in tears.

Being in Melbourne I have plenty of jigsaws in reserve for cloudy nights.

Aww, thanks Suzy. I had a wonderful day indeed. Except in typical Melbourne fashion the clouds rolled over about an hour ago so there goes the plans for this tonight.
