Reprocessing with Star Tools

Hello all, have had a very kind and patient Ivo (Jager) explain to me the fundamentals of processing in Star Tools. I sent him one of my images and he took me through the basics step by step. Have to say it's wonderful what you can get out of the data if you know what you are doing. After that I had a couple of attempts myself. Such a wonderful piece of software. The images are small jpegs so they will load but you get the idea. Have to do this as there has been no telescope time for ages down here.
First picture is M8 & M20 reprocessed by Ivo...
Second is lagoon/third is Swan M17 processed in Star Tools by me!
Had great fun and once I got the hang of it -it was quite quick. I haven't (I admit) got the hang of the star masks yet though.
Enjoy!!

Like my South African friend would say; "Now we're cooking with gas!".
Just to think what you could do with flats and some more data. If you need help with the whole mask thing, do let me know. Getting to understand masking really is the way to better images (whether it's StarTools, Photoshop or PixInsight!).
