my first attempt at NGC6559

well i took this last night, not proud of it - its a very ordinary shot - especially when compared to a few other recent efforts from others on here. very ordinary conditions ended by thick fog.

Looks pretty darn good to me David. Lots of nebulosity good edges but like me you seem to be having trouble with star colour.
One thing you have lots of data to work with so I'm sure you can fix the stars without too much drama.
Can you give us some image details etc.

with the CLS filter a heap of trouble. but it really wouldnt matter that much as the DSLR doesnt keep the colour all that well when the stars get over saturated

Lester they are kind words, but i know that it could have been better - one day i might get a mono camera setup and some filters - might be the only way to beat the light pollution

Strweth David. There's nothing there to be modest about. It's a terric shot - full of texture and contrast. I especially like those wisps of reflection nebulosity in places.
