Wanted: Mini Tower or EQ Goto mount

Have sold all my push-to gear and looking to finally enter the world of goto. Am purely visual so mount doesn't need to be equatorial. Space and setup time are important, hence consideration of the mini tower as well as a GEM.

Aesthetics not too important but must be in sound mechanical condition with no issues.

Please PM with details.

Thanks

Morton

Revised ad:

Will consider any GOTO mount capable of supporting at least 10kg.

Thanks

Hi Morton

I have a Orion SkyviewPro with dual axis motors which I haven't used for couple years. I had it working working as a pushto with Argo Navis and encoders. I have considered to buy the upgrade kit and turn it to a GOTO system, but the cost of the kit is high. I am considering a new GOTO GEM mount but I will decide which one to get once I construct my observatory late next year.

Please have a look at the cost for an upgrade GOTO kit for the SVPRO, and if you think that its cost is acceptable let me know about the SkyviewPro mount, we can come to some arrangement. Having said this, I frankly believe that a new or used EQ5 or HEQ mount is a better proposition.

Clear skies

Thanks George.

As you said, I think a used EQ5 or HEQ5 is a better option.

Cheers
