my first M16
well i managed to get 3h 25 min of M16, my first time. Will end up doing it again after getting some advice...
127ed cooled canon40d with cls filter on a g11
stacked in DSS processed in Pixinsight 1.7 and PS
EDIT - included is a pixinsight only repro.....
EDIT2 - added a blend of the two
I MUST IMPROVE MY PROCESSING SKILLS-----> EDIT 3 ADDED NEW TWEAKED IMAGE 4

Thats a very good result, that cooled 40D seems pretty noise free. Plenty of faint nebulosity all over.

Great details but you have to tweak your color balance. The red's overwhelming and there a lot of blue stars in there. I assume you've used a UHC-S nebula filter or something similar? That would shift your reds right up.

Well that looks heaps better doesn't it? Blue star clusters and you've even got the dual tones in the core coming up now. Nice one.

That last repro is the best.Perfect colour balance and a dark but not overly black sky.

it's a hard one to get just right. I had a hell of a time processing the one I took with ponders modded 20d
Lovely image though. Really nice.
