Asteroid chart software for visual observer

Hi,

With the close encounter with 2011 MD underway, I thought I would fire up my copy of The Sky X to make a chart to look for the asteroid.

I clicked on the download database button to update the asteroid database and got an error message asking me to check my internet connection. That isn't a problem. My guess is that the databases have been moved and the program hasn't been automatically updated. I am not impressed given that the software isn't particularly cheap.

Does anyone have suggestions for alternative software?

Regards,

Paul Floyd.
