ChromaCorr

can anybody let me know if they have had anything to do a Chromatic Abberation Corrector and if so any opinions when used in a large aperture refractor.

If you search on the yahoo group "chinese refractor" you'll get all the answers to your question . they were using the chromacorr on the 6 inch skywatcher a few years ago so there is plenty of info and experience there. They also discussed another lens that corrected for spherical abberation in these large chinese refractors.

I remember there was a lot of controvesy when they first hit the market, but maybe that has settled down - it's been about 5 years since then, anyway. I've not seen any myself.
