read the detail H - it is made up of 8 panels probably is HDRed to boot - but it is really well done i think - i am jealous

I wish they'd put more technical detail in APOD to tell you have they did it (for this and all of them).

Cool and very innovative.

Star fields during total Lunar eclipses have been photographed many years before , but at this scale and depth?! Nah...

....a well deserved APOD!
