Jupiter 14th Feb from tassie

I am yet to get a decent night with the GRS, so i thought i would give it a go last night.

Seeing was very poor 3/10 and at 1040x, the planet was wobbling like jelly. Took a few at 640 x 480 and very messy.

Decided to back it off to 320 x 240 and tried optimized colour mode at 10 fps. The smaller scale could hide some of the bad seeing and at 10 fps, i could hopefully extract some good frame out of the mess.

449 / 900 frames made the 90% limit and then pretty heavy wavelets.

Gamma was up at 55%, 1/50 exposure and 50% gain.

I am quite happy with the result.

Nice one Dave!

Hey, do you mind me posting my yucky Jupiter from this morning in here? Can't be bothered starting a new thread, lol. Not many will like this pic (including me) had to over process to get the detail. If you don't want it here I can delete it?

Both images are fine - we're all dependent on the seeing to a large degree, the last 2 nights I've tried have got me nothing at all, so it's good to see you guys still trying as well.
