Ta...not sure...it hops like one!
Its slightly bigger than the plague locusts that I have seen before.

Doesn't look quite like a cricket to me, especially with the leaf camouflage colour, long antennae and flattened body. I think it's a katydid. Love that textured/patterned skin you've captured in the extreme closeup.
