I've got an idea for a new website (unrelated to astronomy) which I'll need a developer for.
I don't have time to do the development anymore, and being a Product Manager, I come up with the ideas and requirements and get developers to do the development grunt work
I don't have any strong opinions on platform, so whether you're Ruby or PHP or something else is ok, and whether you use a CMS like Wordpress or Joomla as a base is ok as well, as long as you have the skills to make the necessary customisations.
I'm not expecting a "designer" as such, more important is development experience and skills - especially if you have experience in social applications, image handling, user/membership, mapping (google maps) etc.
And practical server experience is necessary too - installation, configuration, performance tuning etc.
I'll need to see examples of previous work that showcases your skills.
This won't be a paid job - it would be a partnership that we work on together for free, until we can monetise the site (advertising initially I'd say) and then revenue share in some way. It could be quite some time that we both would be working for free!
The idea is still very new and may not even eventuate once we get into the nitty gritty, so an open mind is also necessary.
It goes without saying that we need to be able to work well together.
