Spots in my Tube

I've just noticed that the inside of my SkyWatcher DOB is covered in spots. Probably about 5ml in size. It looks like it maybe the result of condensation after a dewey night. It doesn't wipe off either. Anyone had a similar experience and could you do anything about it? Probably more to the point should I bother doing anything about it. I'd hate the tube to rust and it be my fault

"Spots in my tube"

Penicillin fixes everything.

Rust/corrosion spots are a possilblity, as is a fungus.

Perhaps let it catch some sun, are there many? I would tend to forget it unless it's fungus in which case you don't want it migrating to the primary

It's only 3 months old so it better not be rust

I'll try antibiotics and a bit of sun. Can you point your scope at the sun and just not look through it or will it fry something?

Take the eyepieces out & put some material there - ut will get hot, don't leave it for too long, don't put things that can melt in either eg plastic
