10 panel mosaic 1 June 2011

Had some time to get in a full disk again today. Seeing was ok but could have been better.

Lots of activity every where now.

Nice pic Paul those filaments made for interesting viewing. With all the activity going on I was hoping that someone would capture a disc shot.

Bugger, I've clearly missed some excellent solar activity .....Sydney has almost been under-water of late .

Great result!

Great job Paul but as Peter has pointed out we used to have a star like that in Sydney, once upon a time.

Wow thats amazing! Your solar discs are getting better every time. This one has a fantastic 3D feel to it.
I think I can vaguely see a few of the seams from the stitching, but that's absolutely minor. I know how difficult it is to assemble, I've done a 24 panel mosaic of the full moon
Thanks for sharing!

thanks all.

Rolf, yes the stitching results in dark and lighter areas being adjacent to each other and this has to be off set. I am yet to perfect this so that the lines cannot be seen. Peter Ward has this really well set up now and I would really like to know how he does his off sets so that the lines cannot be seen.

Pretty amazing result there Paul, wall to wall detail and the detail around the limb looks great.

Cheers

Trev, I think the one that I did on the 26th of April was better. My etalon settings produced nice large scale detail, whereas this is more fine detail showing but less effective. Seeing was not quite as good either on this occassion.
