Moon 11th Feb First try.

Hi All,

Well probably not the best night, started clear but then the clouds rolled in. During the gaps i took several Afocal shots, experimenting with my Orion Steadypix adapter, Canona A610 and a Andrews 25mm Plosl.

I took several zoomed in shots in manual mode at 1/250 F4.1 setting the image a bit darker purply looking but more details and not to bright. Stitched it using Autstitch using about 39 mixed shots of various sections many overlaps. With my first try i was all over the place. I did a autoenahance on the image using Photostudio (came with the Canon). Posting both processed and unproessed.

I also took several single shots of the moon zoomed out, i am posting the best one.

Lastly took out the Celestron Neximage and took some vidcaps before the clouds rolled in, some frames got the stray cloud or two. Not all that great, some got the same autoenahcne treatment discussed above.

Regards
Netwolf

Hi Netwolf, I love whole of the moon shots and the contrast and detail in your sesond one below is great. The fine filaments radiating out from some of the central ray craters is beautiful, just a tad over exposed around copernicus (I think it's copernicus).

Beautiful, well done
