Ngc4945

Took this one early last night. 28x5min subs through the QHY8/10". I'm quite pleased with how it worked out. Comments welcome!

Mate, that's an absolute cracker! Sharp as, and some good faint fuzzies to wander around in. And the composition is really appealing too.

That's a beauty! Lovely colours and a composition you don't see often with NGC 4945. The only thing I would do is get more data because it does look a bit noisy.

Cheers

Steve

Cheers Troy. I put a bit of thought into the positioning this time rather than just centering it in the FOV.

Thanks Steve. I got as many subs as I could without the scope crashing into the tripod leg. Faced with a meridian flip and the prospect of trying to reframe it in the right position I decided enough was enough.

Cheers Alan. I've just about got the flexure under control now so don't get much drift in a 5 min sub. The guiding has been a bit hit and miss but it was behaving early in the evening. I really need to have a play with the PHD settings some time.

Thanks Rob. You never know what you are going to get with this game. It's nice to get a reasonable image for a change.

The results certainly show that it's worth it, hey.

Thanks Doug. It's good to know it isn't suffering from my usual colour balance preference (too green).
