Hi Steve, I had to have another look at this wonderful image of yours. After doing a internet search comparing your image to others, I did not find any as good as yours; even an Anglo Australian telescope image.
I am interested to know what scope and camera you used, thanks.
Very nice Steve. Processing and look of the image is really nice. Well done.
Thanks Paul

Thanks Lester. The details on the scope and camera are in the caption beneath the image. The scope is a 31.75cm (12.5") RCOS Ritchey Chretien and the camera is a SBIG STL6303E.
Great shot Steve..did you image this with the C14 before..?
PN's really are fasinating huh?
Mike
Nothing wrong with your memory Mike. I certainly did but the image doesn't compare with this one. My only reservation is that the colour is slightly different to the Malin AAO shot so I guess, by definition, it must be wrong <g>.
You should try a big crop of your image . I compared at the same scale to this image from Chile with a 14.5" F9 RC and although the seeing is a little better in the Chile image theres no extra detail to be seen in the Chile image.. Amazing to think that you got that from a Canberra backyard.
