I would imagine Lee at Andrews would have been rather annoyed at the rising Yuan too.
His ordered stock would have cost him a lot more when it arrived. And he is probably wishing GS honoured their commitment too.

Advertising can be a risky business. It causes many arguments in all trades, not just Astro shops.
But what are they to do? Never advertise, 'just in case prices go up'?
Yes, not a nice thing to do to customers, but as you said yourself, his adjusted price was still cheaper.
