BBC Stargazing Live

Watched the first 2 Episodes (1080p, love that high def) and they are really good...totaly crack up too...they just pick on each other...so funny...

Have been to the BBC site to try and watch, but unable to view, so will have to try other means.

I liked it too. love the episode in hawaii and the obs there.
but in one of the episodes, they mention that you can take a pic of the milky way with an slr and exposure of 30 secs, but didnt mention that with anything more than 5 secs you get star trails.
pity they had cloud cover for one of the episodes.

One of the solar astronomers, Dr.Lucie green is in perth and had visited the museum with skylab's fragments.

Just a heads up for anyone who has not seen this and would like to, it is showing on BBC Knowledge today (Sat 7th May) at 2.30pm on Foxtel..

I accidentally came across this show on the Foxtel network this week by channel surfing.
I've not ever seen a show before that is a teaching astronomy show- how to use your scope, how to view constellations etc. Love it! AND!!! blow me down with a feather, BRIAN COX co-presents it!
Haha, just when you guys thought that I'd stopped talking about him.

Was going to put on here, but you beat me to it.

I KNOW!!! I randomly downloaded it when search for some astro doco's and decided I'd give it ago and would you believe, a mannnn called Bwiaannnnn!!

Watched all of it now but may just have to watch it again... Was a really great series, I wish there were more out there like this program. Great for beginners and very basic but fun and interesting!
