Conjunction over Canberra, May 15

But wait, there's more ...

From Mt Stromlo, Canberra. Sunday May 15.
Minus 6 degrees (that's good for sensor noise, right???)

The boom gates at Stromlo don't open until 7am, so the last 2km up the hill at 5:30 were by bicycle, camera gear and tripod on my back. Seemed like a silly idea at the time, but I'm glad I persisted.

And a little later (and slightly warmer) ... while waiting for the Scope cafe to open at 8 ...

The low-hanging sun is great -- good use of panorama to portray the ranges.

Would have been excruciating riding up the mountain in the cold.

Nice images Mal! Worth braving the cold for.

Cheers,
