Thanks h0ughy, although I feel robbed; the write up states the Jupiter sequence was taken in a 9 inch scope, yet it is a humongous, full sized 9.25 inches!!!

Boy, you certainly get around the World Wide Web don’t you, must be cloudy down south tonight?

Cheers

Dennis

How did you guess!!! One should never boast about size, 9.25, 10, 11,12,14,16,18,20,24,30......where will it ever end

It is good to see your exceptional shots got some recognition, Dennis. You should send them to the mags too, if you haven't done so already. Your sequence with Ganymede is just awesome.

Surprise Factor: Zero!

That's the reaction I would have expected for those great images Dennis.

Again, congratulations mate. Very well deserved.

Keep those DSO images rolling in too. You've actually got me thinking about faint fuzzies now. Scary. Very scary.

Wow!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments - I am bowled over by the responses to the Jupiter sequence.

I was really lucky to be in the right place at the right time and enjoy sharing the results as much as I did capturing the avi’s. My enthusiasm and love for ToUcam imaging came from the late Erwin, who was a master of the webcam craft.

My technique has steadily improved as a result of dwelling within the IIS community; the willingness to share knowledge here is quite extraordinary – a wonderful example of the how the internet has brought out the noble side of our humanity.

I remember my first faltering steps along the daunting path of astrophotography. The encouragement I received from those further along the way was enormously helpful, inspiring me to continue and improve.

Cheers

Dennis.
