Hi Guys, well we cant have good days every day, however we did have a bit of a laugh over this little incidence.

It's pretty tight to turn this rig on any road at the best of times, but i have done it many times with out incidence, as one can jack knife the trailer, making it a very small circle for such a big unit, well not today.

We over shot the turn off to where we had to go, no worries Alice

I will just do a U Turn up the road.

All went well for the first half of the turn, then the roads edge just sank, and so did the truck, so there we were stuck across the road, not going anywhere.

A nice couple stopped and offered help and although they could not pull us out they gave us the phone number of the towing business in Denham, he turned up in 10 minutes and towed us out for $20.00.

Glad this did not happen 100 kilometers from nowhere.

Thanks guys, all is well and no damage done other than the ego,

and to make matters worse our little dog peed on the truck for good measure,

see wet spot in photo 5.

No, see, you're wrong Leon,

the dog was actually thinking!

See, if he pee'd on the soft sandy verge, it would harden up the surface and then allow you traction to reverse the rig out.

Very clever, that dog, leading by example, perhaps you and Alice should have followed suit, you might have got out under your own "steam".....

I did notice the wet patch. I glad it was dog fluids instead of truck fluids.

Glad to see it was only a minor mishap Leon.

Your little dog may have been marking his territory to "protect" your rig after it got stuck.

That looks like a lot of entertainment for $20. The "re-tell" price alone covers that.

Glad it all worked out and that everyone/everything was unharmed.

All is good guys,

it all worked out fine and is quite funny really,

something to write in the diary, it gets a bit boring if nothing happens from time to time.

It's amazing how quickly it can go pear shaped. Glad to hear it was no biggie. The incident does of course prompt the question; what will you do if it happens 100km from nowhere? I assume you have at least some basic recovery gear.

Anyway, you call that bogged??? THIS is bogged.

Yep David I agree, that is what one would call bogged,

and if my incidence happened 100 ks out, well i reckon i have enough know how and gear to get it out.

Mind you it might take a while but we would get there.
