Mars and Jupiter Conjunction 1st May

Here is a single frame of Mars and Jupiter 24 arcminutes apart this morning. The circular border, added in post processing, is about 30 arcminutes across (about the size of the Moon).

Cheers,

Tom

Nice one Tom!

Your image just reminded me that I had my 70-200mm telephoto in my backpack up at Mt Coot-tha this morning with the intention of capturing this scene, but of course I got busy with the wide-field images and completely forgot about it!

Cheers,
Stephen

Nice, it's not often you get two planets so close in the same FOV.
