Mexico photos

Hi everyone,

well back after the most amazing 3 weeks - 10 days in New York and 10 days on the Caribbean coast of Mexico! I was I posted while away - I went to B&H Cameras in NYC which was mind blowing - the most amazing store I've ever been into.

Sadly lost a camera in Mexico with onver 500 photos - c'est la vie. I did try a bit of night sky work but didn't do a great job of focussing. And, to be honest, standing on the white sandy shore of a beautiful ocean I wasn't that concerned !

Anyway, here's a few pics - the night sky above our thatched roof cottage right on the beach, moonrise and sunrise over the ocean, sunset over a lagoon and the observatory at the Chitchen Itcha ruins.

Back to reality now.......

cheers

niko

Niko,

Now that's an observatory! That observatory is of one of the oldest standing observatories in the world! How appropriate for and astro site, . Earthquakes, revolts, conquests and untold cyclones, and the thing is still standing. Cool!

Just needs a lick of paint, .

Sounds like you had a good time! Thanks for sharing the occassion with us buggers stuck under cloudy skies!

Mental.
