Venus, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter over Brisbane CBD

Hi all,

Here's a shot of the 4 naked eye planets rising over Brisbane at about 5:20 this morning (Easter Sunday). I was really just testing out the location and settings for next weekend when the Moon joins in, but I thought this image was worth posting.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate for the May conjunctions!

Cheers,
Stephen

Great pic Stephen!

I am just beginning the wide field stuff with my Nikon D3100.

If you are willing and able I would love to join you at this location sometime (PM me if this would be OK).

Thanks.

Thanks David - Yes, this was up at the lookout at Mt Coot-tha, overlooking Brisbane. And despite being 5am, there were plenty of other photographers up there!

Thanks Matt. If the weather cooperates, I'll hopefully be back there on Sunday morning at 5am (when the Moon joins the 4 planets). Will let you know closer to the time.

Cheers,
Stephen
