For all who are down south and don't get to see this I thought I would post my picture of the Big Dipper taken at Nindaroo, Mackay, QLD at 10 PM Tonight

Cheers Warren

That's something I definitely don't see down my way.

Ta.
I used to see this (the other way) from my window when living in Canada.
It always baffled me how anyone could see a Bear, when its manifestly a dipper-saucepan-thing.
Still does.

Cool Pics Warren I see some of it from here but a hill prevents me from seeing more
As an aside I have only two more Messier objects to get which are in Urser Major M81 and M82,they are to far north for me and you as well
A trip to the far north of Australia is required as they only get about 8 deg above the horizon from Darwin
Cheers

Cool!
Must have been fairly low even from Mackay.

Regards, Rob
