Jupiter 28th August

Conditions in Adelaide were fairly good with seeing about 8/10
The result is OK but not what I hoped from this quick process before I hit the sack

Nice work Rob, some nice detail in there for sure. It seems you had better seeing than me, I am still processing my data but reckon it only got to 4 to 5 up here. Looks pretty promising for over the next 5 days.

Regards
Trevor

Thanks Musab. There are others though that turn out stuff that make mine look ordinary

Thanks a lot Ray. I was hoping for more in the detail side of things, but I was quite unprepared in lots of ways I even had to shift some spiders out of the tube with a broom handle

Thanks Trevor, I guess we had to get a good night eventually, as I said earlier I was quite unprepared, and went ahead without a collimation check, and as I had recently dropped a new solid state HDD into the netbook I use for capture I had no capture program installed to display the histo.
Good luck with the seeing over the coming days. I hope you get some nice data

Nice result Rob. It must have cleared after I went to bed as I saw nothing last night.

Thanks Michael, I started imaging at about 4:30 am. It was very clear over here from about 4am onwards I stopped at about 5:30 as a tree got in the way.

Very nice result, Rob. I was imaging earlier in the night and there appeared to be some cloud coming up after midnight. Must have improved after I turned in. You've done well to capitalise on the good seeing.

Thanks Graeme It was just the luck of the draw. plenty of times I have set the alarm only to have a quick squiz outside and go straight back to bed
I nearly did this morning as I really wasn't in the mood after the neighbors late night party ( still going when I got up and still going when I went back to bed at 8:30 )
Work tomorrow though and showers forecast for the morning so all the gear is stowed
