I'm hoping to do a bit more with it after collecting a few more images. I've got some 30 sec images (for the Trap) and some 3 min images. If I can pick up maybe some 8 min images and then learn to layer mask properly I should be able to get some more out of it. I think next time I wont go quite so heavy on the levels as it's looking a bit too dark online.
What a Beautiful image Paul.
Well done, there's just no getting tired of the Orion Neb region.
And Lostock keeps on giving doesn't it?
While working back very late last night I had a look at my originals on the Compact Flash card and found some unprocessed Horse Head and Flame images. Will try and get to them soon.
Again well done and thanks for sharing with us Paul.
Nice image Paul...how can you wait so long to process an image...even the excuse that you forgot is just as a bad....I can't wait to get home and start processing.
The dark point does seem to dark so your missing heaps of detail...I know you wont mind me having a go processing the existing image.
Thanks again guys. Phil some of the stars are a bit too round for me. I think my lense must have been fogging up a bit towards the end. Notice V372 ori just to the left of the nebulosity. And Tony's processing has brought it out in some of the fainter stars. Fair bit of halo there. Don't really know what it was from, can only think of a light dew as it being the brighest star in the shot is showing it the worst. It's evident on fainter stars but much more pronounced on it.
