Boardgamers

I'm always on the hunt for new board games. It is becoming quite addictive. Any board gamers out there know what I am on about? What games do you like and why?

Currently I'm into Pandemic, Hive and Bohnanza (card game).

www.boardgamegeek.com has heaps of info.

I love board games. Unfortunately I dont know anyone who does, except my sister and she lives too far away to play often.

My 4 year old is still pretty young but he loves draughts, monopoly, snakes and ladders and trouble so at least I can play them! My husband says he doesnt mind squatter so every now and then I can talk him into playing it with me.

I just recently bought Saboteur (card game) but so far havent been able to trap anyone into playing it with me but mothers day is coming up...

I've heard Saboteur is really good. I'd love to try it. Some other good intro board games are Settlers of Catan and Carcasonne.

I think there are Aussie communities on www.boardgamegeek.com. Or you could try comething like www.goldtoken.com.

Just for interests sake I looked and there is an Adelaide board game club! Ha who would have thought. Maybe I will have to head there for my board game fix!

I have had my eye on Settlers of Catan and Carcasonne for a while. Im thinking about buying one for my sister for Christmas and then making everyone play it!!

Both are good. I prefer Carc though. Some of the expansions really add a lot to the game too. www.milsims.com.au usually has good prices.

Hi Tony. If you like chess you might like Hive. I really enjoy it. Each insect has its own movement and the Hive can never be broken. Great fun.
