Hi all, after seeing John's image of this small planetary, I thought I would have a go while I was waiting for Saturn to get high enough last night. This is 16x3 minute exposures at iso 800 with Astro 40D and 14" LX200 at F6.3 . Unfortunately the tracking wasn't as good as I would like.

Guiding may have been a bit off but the detail and colour is great.
Nice one Lester.

Thanks Paul and Doug for your comments. Next time I will have to spend some time on the balance first. These modern mounts are a bit finicky when it comes to balance, my old Goliath mount would track fine so long as the clutches would hold. If only someone could convert that to a computer controlled mount, I would sell the Titan in a flash.

I have done a repro of this stack of images with reduced star sizes and image scale to give a more pleasing final IMO.

Nice little capture Lester, the blues and reds go together nicely.
