Hubble 3D at IMAX

saw hubble 3D at Imax over weekend. pretty good.....

mostly about getting the thing up there and all the servicing they've done on it with the shuttle.

but some deep space 3D...

it was worth seeing (i thought) just to see the section where they zoom right into the Orion nebula and explain what is going on there.

5 stars....

' Tis a great film especially that bit in M42. Felt a bit at one point that an astronaut was going to land in my lap. The 3-d bits were amazing.

Really want to see this, however not in Brisbane.
Planning on taking the partner down for a weekend in Melbourne in early May. Does anyone know if this will still be screening?

Thanks.

A friend and I saw this film in January and we must be the only people on the planet who didn't much like it. Some of the images, e.g., the M42 stuff mentioned above, were great but a lot of the Shuttle footage was similar to stuff I'd seen before. The commentary was the part that most annoyed us, if you removed the errors and the hyperbole there wouldn't be much left. I appreciate that the narration was supposed to build some suspense but we felt that it was way over done to the detriment of accuracy.
