Meade LX200R (now called the LX200-ACF UHTC optics) 14” f/10 OTA with UHT coatings - $2800
This scope was purchased in Nov 15 2006 and is in as new condition except for one problem – the mirror lock never functioned correctly from the beginning. I have never been game to remove the corrector and mirror to see what’s wrong but don’t believe it’s anything serious. However, I have got around it by using a spring loaded mirror stabilizing bolt which works fine in locking down the mirror.
The scope has always been permanently mounted inside an observatory.
