Before morning shift this morning (starting too early to see Mars

) I thought I'd have a go at Neptune. Thinking I could find it through the finderscope I didn't bother attaching an eyepiece and put the camera on live view. A bit of star hopping identified a very small disc dancing around. Next time I am going to try and take my time and look through the eyepiece! Seeing was very poor.
With 4x teleconverters on the Canon EOS 550D, at 1/60s, 60fps, ISO6400, 7000 frames and 12" Goto dobsonian I managed this image. The image is not sharpened at all.
I was hoping for a bit more colour but that is something I will strive for in later observations.
Cheers,
Tom
