[SOLD] Celestron Nexstar 8

Selling my Celestron Nexstar 8, (2004 - 2006 model though im not sure, if there is a way to check please tell me).

I have had this sitting in my garage for nearly 3 years, i have never used it.

It is in immaculate condition

Regarding the age of your scope, the NexStar 8 was introduced in 2000 and was replaced by the NexStar 8i model in 2002.

thanks mikeyb. would you know by the pics whether it is an 8 or an 8i? or if there is a serial number hidden on it somewhere?

I believe your scope is the original NexStar 8. I can't remember whether the model designation is shown on the non-mount side of the scope barrel, but check out these pics of my old 8i and notice that it has tubular stainless steel tripod legs, with a cast alloy spreader/eyepiece rack between them and also the Starbright XLT lens coatings sticker.
