Saturn Seeliger effect comparison

Hi all,

Here is last night's Saturn (11:37UT 3rd April) a day before opposition compared with an image 20 days before opposition.

I have tried to match the processing as much as possible and the Seeliger effect is quite apparent.

Thanks for looking,

Tom

Nice work Tom. The individual images are excellent in themselves and when displayed in this manner, the effect is quite apparent. Thanks for the insight and education on this phenomena!

Cheers

Dennis

Brilliant stuff Tom.
The effect, less than a week ago, was so obvious even visually
by myself and my son in an 8" and 12" Newt.

Great stuff Tom - I had forgotten about the brightening effect!
Looked good through the scope on Saturday night.
