8" F2.8 Newt

I came across these powernewts the other day and thought it may be of interest. 8" F2.8 corrected newt with carbon fibre or steel tube. A little expensive but I'm sure the corrector would cost da bomb. They mention 65mm backfocus from corrector to sensor in the user manual and that may be to short for mono cameras with wheels and an OAG. But worth a look.

Sorry nettie. I recon you could just get a 2" wynne corrector, about $1250, and plug it into a cheap 8" F4 to get a similar speed

Interesting! An Israeli company. But not a lot of information online about these instruments aside from the stuff on their own site. Does anyone know how long they've been around?

Its just an 8" f4 GSO newt with a Keller corrector and a mountain of mark up added. Save your dough...

I'm afraid I am in the same camp as Gary, and while I like to see innovation and progress, to me it is headed past the point of diminishing returns.
I use an F4 AT8", and it is similar or the same as this variant. At f4 it is tricky enough to collimate and focus, I can only imaging what it will be like at F2.8. And while you are gaining an obvious light collection advantage, is it really worth the extra cost and collimation effort? To me not.
Each to their own though of course.
