Windows Imaging Component

Hi
I am trying to load Windows .net Framework 4 Client on my Windows XP.
However, it requires that I first install Windows Imaging Component (WIC)
I can find this in the Microsoft download site but it leads me into a download maze where it offers about a dozen versions of the above but I do not know which one is suitable and in any case all refuse to download. Could anyone direct me to a SIMPLE way to download WIC? (Whinge - why does Microsoft always make things so difficult or is it just me?).
Cheers Peter

Hi Deception

You may be right but anyway I found a backdoor way of doing what I wanted to do in the first place. A friend tells me why I bother with Microsoft and go to Linux but most of the astro software I have is written for Microsoft.

Cheers Peter
