Tonight I tested the EOS 600D on DSO imaging.

Camera is not modded. Warm night, 20 deg ambient
Also attached are pics showing the incredible resolution of the 18 MP sensor. 2 pics of the Trapezium, full res. crops
a 2x1 sec pic at iso1600, and a single 1 sec iso 200 pic, clearly showing the 2 faint trapezium stars. It allows the Sutching mirror in my 10 inch f5.6 scope to stretch its legs
A modded version of this camera, or better yet a modded and cooled version would be an 18 megapixel imaging monster.
