Ngc3521

Well finally got a resonably clear night seems like ages since we had any,some light cloud about ,had to beat the moon before it rose but managed a 1hr 40min on a nice galaxy ngc3521 taken with cooled 40d on the 127prostar

Nice shot there, Alan

Try a powermate on it to bump up the image scale, see how that goes

Good shot Alan. It is a pretty galaxy and a tempting target now it is rising in the east in a reasonable imaging position.

Thanks Greg ,Scott yes it is a lovely galaxy and rising in the east makes for a good target ,might have to get 10" newt on this one needs more power .

Very nice result! Round stars and a lot of details in the galaxy. And the colors are nice too.
You don`t have to buy a bigger telescope, make more frames.

Thanks prokyon yes you are right more frames are needed if only the weather would stay clear we have had heaps of clould for months.i intend to add more at a later date
