For sale, 256mb Ram
I have 2x 256ram modules for a laptop. They are secondhand but still work great. To buy these at present it would be around 230. I want 150. Both ram modules must sell together.
First in best dressed.

They are pc2700 DDR 333mhz ram. One made by Legend and the other made by hynix. I have only just upgrade to 1gig ram and cannot use them in the laptop because there are no more slots.

I guess you need to make sure there's slots in your laptop to put some extra ram.

Let me know what you want to do Andrew, I assume you are interested. Peter may want one, so if you want one or both just let me know.

I am still working out where the memory would be located, I have two access panels I can take off, but not sure which one would house the RAM

Andrew, take off the covers and you'll soon see where the ram is located. The Ram definately should work, I just fitted 2x PC2700 ram modules in my HP despite the fact that the existing ram was PC2100.

Something has come up finance wise, but if you still have them in a few weeks I will see about a purchase from you, and your almost around the corner so I could pick up personally.

Paul, I have opened up the only 2 access panels on the back of my laptop, cant see anywhere where the ram is. One panel shows the HDD and the other shows a portion of the motherboard. Odd thing that....

Hmmm, strange. You should see the ram modules under one of them. Perhaps I need to have a look with you.
How did you pull up yesterday, you looked a bit cactus when you left?

Are you aware that 512MB Corsair SODIMM RAM models - brand new, sell for under $130?
http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/ (go to memory -> Sodimm)
<TABLE class=collapse cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=4 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=greyThinBorder width=60></TD><TD class=greyThinBorderWhtBackground> Corsair 512Mb PC2100 DDR266 SODIMM memory, for Dell, HP, Compaq, Gateway, Toshiba, IBM, and Sony Laptops
CMSS512MB-266SOD</TD><TD class=greyThinBorder width=80> 1 - 2 days</TD><TD class=greyThinBorder width=80>$126.50
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
Also AusPCMarkets are a great store but not the cheapest (Try www.fluidtek.com.au for even better PC prices on start of the art gear normally).

G_day, they may well do, but 256 ram modules sell for over 100 each. What do you want me to do; give them away.

What is the make and model number of your laptop? Some Asus systems fit your description and you access the RAM slots from the top cover. Let me know what it is and if I am familiar with it I will tell you how to get into it.

Lost we had a look yesterday and he can only fit in on module from the rear. The other 512 module is located inside the case. So he can fit a 256, a 512 or maybe a 1gig card into the slot.
